A massive, two-day festival is taking over Santa Monica Pier this weekend – and it’s free to enter!
Pier 360 Beach Festival kicks off on Saturday, June 27, 2026, with two days of ocean sports, live entertainment, and family activities. Visitors can expect a roller rink, paddleboard races, volleyball, skating, live music, lifeguard competitions, drawing, and other activities on the pier and on the surrounding beach.
“From paddleboard racing traditions that began here nearly a century ago to skateboarding, volleyball and strongman competitions, this festival celebrates the spirit of Southern California beach culture in one unforgettable weekend,” said Jim Harris, executive director and historian of the Santa Monica Pier, in a statement.
Other activities include the Santa Monica Strongman Classic, and a beer and spirits garden will be available for guests 21+.
The pier opens at 10 am, and the beach activities start at 8 am. Athletic competitions kick off at 9 am on Saturday, and the festival runs from 12 pm through 7 pm. The competition on Sunday begins at 7:45 am, and the festival runs from 9 am to 4 pm.
General admission is free, but some competitions require advance registration and entry fees. A $25 festival pass includes a T‑shirt, swag bag, one Pacific Park ride, and a complimentary beverage ticket. You can find more ticket information here.
