Raging Waters has earned more than just a loyal following in the region. The San Dimas attraction was recently recognized by USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards as one of the best outdoor water parks in the country, landing an impressive No. 7 spot.
The annual list combines expert nominations with public voting, drawing hundreds of thousands of votes from travelers and theme park enthusiasts across the country. According to the ranking, Raging Waters earned praise for its diverse lineup of more than 50 attractions, offering everything from family-friendly splash zones to high-thrill rides.
Among its standout attractions is Aqua Rocket, California’s only hydromagnetic water coaster. The ride uses a combination of gravity and magnetic propulsion to send riders soaring 55 feet into the air, delivering a roller coaster-like experience on water.

Inside California’s biggest water park
Raging Waters is the largest water park in California and one of the biggest in the nation. Spanning more than 60 acres, the San Dimas destination features over 50 rides and attractions, ranging from family-friendly splash zones to adrenaline-pumping experiences like High Extreme, home to a pair of 600-foot speed slides reaching speeds of up to 35 mph, and Bombs Away, a twin-drop slide tower designed for thrill-seekers.
The park is also home to a million-gallon wave pool and a sprawling 30,000-square-foot water playground, offering plenty of ways to cool off between rides.
