Running clubs are a blessing for those who enjoy group activities and need a little peer pressure to boost their willpower. Jogging through the city can be dull and monotonous unless you’re with people who share more than just a love for a good run. That’s why we’ve compiled this list of some of the most diverse running clubs in L.A., catering to every type of runner we could think of.
1. LA Hash House Harriers
The Hash House Harriers (HHH) is an international running and social club, humorously known as “a drinking club with a running problem.” Members join group runs where they follow running trails laid out by a “hare,” often encountering surprises and challenges along the way. Post-run, the group gathers for drinks and lighthearted traditions. In Los Angeles, several HHH chapters host regular meet-ups that welcome newcomers.

When Edgar and Liz met a decade ago in Orange County, their shared passion for running brought them together. Liz ran most days, while Edgar was hitting 30 to 40 miles a week. They began running with the O.C. Craft Runners every Monday.
After moving to Los Angeles in 2016, they decided to start their own chapter. L.A. Craft Runners was born from their desire to recreate that O.C. experience, offering a friendly space for both casual and experienced runners to connect, make friends, and enjoy tasty, refreshing beers.

Founded by Román, Ley, Raquel Zamora, and Monica Perez after they became first-time mothers, the idea came about during a community run with their babies in strollers.
Frustrated by the lack of “mommy and me” spaces and safe running routes on the Eastside, they decided to start their own running group. Running Mamis is also sponsored by Nike, and it’s all about empowering Latina moms and supporting them on their running journey!
