Bring home a furry friend this holiday season… for free!
Nothing spreads holiday cheer like a new addition to the family! If you’ve been on the fence about adopting a new pet recently, it may be time to pull the (metaphorical) trigger.
For one day only, the Prevention of Cruelty Animals Los Angeles is waiving adoption fees at all three of its L.A. county locations this Saturday, December 14. Potential pet parents are free to visit the adoption centers from 10a to 5p. The spcaLA is currently caring for over 200 dogs, cats, and rabbits.
If you happen to stumble upon an adorable dog, cat, or bunny that you’d want to take home, all adoption fees would be waived. The fees attached to adoptions usually cover spay/neuter surgery, species-appropriate current vaccinations, microchips, and health examinations amongst other things. The prices normally range from $80 to $255 depending on the animal.
Before you head over to one of the three locations, be sure not to leave your house without the following items:
• Proof of address
• A valid, government-issued ID
• A copy of your lease and/or landlord’s phone number
All adopters must also meet spcaLA’s adoption requirements. Remember, only adopt a pet if you’re committed to providing your new best friend a forever home!
