Christmas is just around the corner, and you don’t have to fly across the Atlantic to experience the magic of a traditional European holiday market.
Just about 35 miles from the city, Christmas Market OC is returning to Huntington Beach, bringing Bavarian-inspired architecture, festive food and seasonal entertainment to SoCal for the holidays!
A 20,000-square-foot European-inspired Christmas
Located inside Old World Village, the market runs from November 15, 2026, through January 3, 2027. The 20,000-square-foot Bavarian-style village features an indoor shopping area and an outdoor Biergarten, where you can browse artisan stalls, shop for handcrafted gifts and Christmas decorations, and sample traditional German food, freshly baked treats, and imported beers.
The indoor Christmas Shopping Village offers free admission and is open daily, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday and until 9 p.m. Thursday through Saturday. Outside, the Biergarten serves food and drinks, and hosts live entertainment on select dates.
Santa will be available for meet-and-greets on Saturdays and Sundays from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. At the same time, the outdoor Garden Stage will feature live music on select weekends, including Sunday afternoon Country Christmas performances and Friday appearances by the Biergarten Holiday Jazz Band.
One of the market’s more unusual traditions is its Wiener Dog Races, scheduled for November 15 and December 6. The events bring dachshunds to the center of the village for a distinctly local take on the holiday festivities.
A slice of Bavaria in OC
Old World Village was founded in 1978 by Josef and Dolores Bischof, who set out to recreate the charm of a traditional Bavarian village in Southern California. Its cobblestone streets, antique lanterns, European-style buildings, family-run German deli, bakery, and market have made it a local destination for decades.
Today, its annual Christmas celebration brings that European heritage into the holiday season, offering a festive escape without leaving the region.
