The city is constantly making room for something new, from affordable housing developments and sprawling urban parks to wildlife crossings designed to reconnect fragmented habitats.
Now, one of the city’s most recognizable grocery chains is getting ready to make a major addition of its own: a colossal Whole Foods Market flagship in the heart of L.A.’s best-known shopping district, just steps from The Grove.
A massive new Whole Foods is coming to 3rd & Fairfax

Whole Foods Market will open its new 63,082-square-foot flagship store on November 11, 2026, at 355 S. Ogden Drive, inside the Bloom on Third shopping center.
The store will open at 9 a.m. on opening day, with regular hours from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. Inside, the flagship will feature more than 1,900 products from over 400 California-based suppliers, alongside an expanded selection of specialty departments and ready-to-eat meals.
One of the biggest additions is a taproom serving wine by the glass and beer on tap, with selections from local producers including Massican, Field Recordings, and Los Angeles Ale Works. An adjacent charcuterie venue will offer curated cheese and meat boards, plus build-your-own options.
There will also be a coffee and juice bar serving drinks such as the Brown Butter Cookie Latte and Berry Chantilly Latte, alongside freshly made juices and smoothies. Other highlights include an upgraded floral department, locally sourced produce, a full-service seafood counter, and a meat department with butchers available to cut steaks and poultry to order.
The prepared foods section will offer hot and salad bars, pizza, gourmet sandwiches, homemade-style meals, and freshly rolled sushi. The bakery will carry fresh bread, Berry Chantilly Cake, and seasonal treats, while grocery aisles will feature local favorites like hummus, gelato, and chocolate-covered dates.
To celebrate the opening, the first 300 customers in line will receive a limited-edition tote bag, with a mini version for the first 100, plus a coupon offering savings of up to $100.
