Halloween has been resurrected this year! Your whole month will be filled with delightful frights and crawling with all the familiar creeps. But fear not, while there will be plenty of wonderfully dark soirees going on, there will also be plenty of family-friendly events and activities to make your October 2021 a memorable adventure. From drive-through pumpkin picking to encounters with the dead, here are all the thrilling things to fill your calendar with!

1. Haunt O’ Ween

Wander through Haunt O’ Ween’s dazzling 150,000-square-foot Halloween haven. While the 2020 drive-thru practically saved the season, this year’s walk-thru experience is set to be bigger and better with more themed zones and interactive experiences added to the adventure. 2. Sip Spicy Ghost Margaritas at a mysterious and macabre cocktail soirée (from October 8)

Step into L.A.’s hair-raising House of Spirits for an evening of secrets, séances and spooktacular spicy cocktails from Ghost Tequila. Roam around a historic, haunted mansion and mingle with its eerie spectral residents. Street Food Cinema is known for matching up the movie, food, and settings to the season. Whether it’s a classic horror film at the Million Dollar Theater replete ghouls and spooky treats or the Yuletide Cinemaland outside the heritage museum, you’re always in for a charming (and delicious) surprise. The wildly popular Candlelight concerts are bringing you a delightfully haunting series this October. 14. Haunt Massive: Halloween Festival at Avalon Hollywood

The highly-anticipated HAUNT MASSIVE Halloween Party is coming to the world-famous Avalon Hollywood this month! The club will be transformed into a themed, haunted world beyond your imagination with three themed areas (The Graveyard, Cell Block, and Death Trap) and dance the night away with your favorite tracks played by various local DJs from 9 am to 3 am. 15. Mama G’s Halloween Happenings

18. Witchcraft! Spooky Spirit Virtual Mixology Class

19. DTLA Murder Mystery Ghost Walking Tour

21. ‘Carved’ at Descanso Gardens
