With the 2026 FIFA World Cup now well underway, L.A. has officially been recognized as one of the best places for travelling fans. Los Angeles was ranked the sixth most welcoming host city in a new study of all 16 World Cup destinations.
The research, carried out by Bovada Sportsbook, scored each host city based on factors including safety, affordability, annual international visitor numbers, and the quality of hotels and restaurants to determine which destinations are the most welcoming for football fans.

According to the study, these are the 10 highest-ranked host cities for travelling supporters:

- New York City – 7.19
- Toronto – 6.08
- Boston – 5.54
- Miami – 4.99
- Los Angeles – 4.78
- Seattle – 4.46
- Mexico City – 4.43
