The day starts early, at 9 AM, with a patriotic outdoor concert in Solvang Park — grab a spot on the grass and let the music set the tone before the town’s biggest event of the day. By 10 AM, the streets fill in for the beloved 4th of July Parade, presented by the Solvang Rotary Club and themed “Salute to America 250” this year.
Once the parade wraps around noon, the celebration doesn’t slow down. Live music picks up right where the parade left off, keeping the park lively into the early afternoon. From there, the party shifts over to Solvang’s historic mission grounds, where an all-day festival runs from noon until 10 PM. Expect food trucks, local vendors, a dedicated kids zone, and live entertainment throughout the afternoon and evening — all building up to the main event. As the sun goes down, around 9 PM, the sky lights up with one of the Central Coast’s most spectacular fireworks shows.
